I'm sure he has other things in his life.
Yeah our lives are pretty much back to normal in Oz. Still social distancing and some restrictions on larger gatherings. No crowds but sport back on. We can travel but some state borders closed. Our "black lives matter" demonstrations are mostly peaceful. Surf is up, water is clear, roads and tracks look good and pubs are starting to open. Pity you can't visit from outside Oz. I don't think we will be opening borders to countries with community transmission for a long time.

MadHatter. Set it to 2 up and luggage play with the hard settings. 2 or 3 plus I would think. How much do you weigh? It only works on the Bike not other stuff. :)

As the tires wear, the rear becomes more squared and it will handle better. My Harleys were the opposite. I would get 15 k out of a set. The rear would square. In turns once this happened it was like falling off a shelf. The bike would suddenly shift or snap towards the ground. I would still have tread sometimes but would Change my tires so I could keep up with my BMW / Yamaha friends.

Glad to hear that some places are getting back to normal. Many people around here seem to think that the coronavirus pandemic is over. Bars, restaurants, casinos, barber shops etc.. are all opening. Over the last 7 days we have been averaging over 400 new cases everyday in Wisconsin. There is no leadership or direction from the federal government and the state government is powerless thanks to political game playing. We haven't seen a coronavirus task force press conference in weeks. What happened to Dr. Fauci? Most events like music festivals, car shows, parades, marathons, summer youth sports, EAA fly in, and Summerfest have all been cancelled. The local hospital is forecasting a loss of 70 million dollars due to the virus.

What we see on the news of the US is mainly about the riots. I can't imagine the riots are helping the coronavirus situation. Can't trust the media though to tell the whole story. A lot of the press seem to blame your leader and everyone has an opinion. My thoughts are that in a democracy you can't blame it all on a leader. Not sure in the US but over here the prime minister is just the spokesperson for the decisions made by the cabinet. They get the blame or credit but they don't actually have the say. Looking forward to some good news from you guys soon.

Sad thing is most news media are less honest than the enquirer
The news outlets here are pretty sad, and march to their own agendas. Blowing things up, makes for great revenues, strokes the ego of the reporter, and gets agendas moving in the direction they want it to. Fox conveniently ignores stuff on the dems side, while CNN likes to ignore the Republican side, or any supporters with each. Times marches to their own tune, taking a swipe at anyone not in their thinking. I usually go to a number of news outlets to try and see both sides.

Best way to get somewhat unbiased news, is Al Jezeers/BBC/Daily Mail.....o_O

My daughter, when she was in grad school, told me about a professor that was lecturing about how bad the police were, and to never trust them. She pinned him with several questions that he could not, or would not answer, but she was the only one in the class to do that.

I would not count Trump out. The riots and virus may get him re-elected yet. Hear me out. Let’s say our economy starts to mend but a price. We loose 1/2 mil to the virus. He of course takes all the credit For the economy. Things are bad but they are getting better. Say he gets unemployment to 10%. The stock market is doing much better than it has a right to. It should be down at least 50 to 70 percent it is not. My stuff is off 15 to 20. I just gave up what he Trump has gotten me in gains for the last 2 or 3 years. So let’s say the markets start to come back. Again he takes all the credit. The one big remaining obstacle is the virus And the deaths. That he that blames on the rioters and blacks. And after all that he just might get a another term. Kinda like Bush and his war. It got him a second term. You see he wanted to restart the economy and essential go for herd immunity. The only problem the people have to feel safe enough to go back to work. Well the riots have forced our hand all our quarantine efforts have been undone by the protesters. There is only one way to go now reopen. America does not have he heart or discipline to start over. To be honest I would have rather had my portfolio deviated and taken 10 years to recover than have a second term of Trump. His greatest strength is people underestimate him.

More interested in his vice president . Trump and Joe are Old and susceptible to death or the rigors of old age. If Biden had half a brain he would pick Cuomo. But he is insisting on a woman. That did not work out well for Hillary Or John McCain. Yet another stupid move by the democrats that could give back a gift wrapped election.

squabore sasid:" Not sure in the US but over here the prime minister is just the spokesperson for the decisions made by the cabinet. They get the blame or credit but they don't actually have the say."

Just the opposite over here. The cabinet members that are left know that if they cross him, they will be gone, so they go along with anything that comes out of his mouth. Sec of Defense is on thin ice, as he recently disagreed on the use of federal troops.

I believe in balance we have had good Democrat and good Republican presidents. Things get to crazy on one side the pendulum swings the other way. I think the rope or chain holding the pendulum has broke or we are seeing an arc height as never before.

I can remember a time when people voted for the candidate not his party. They would switch parties depending on the candidate.
I agree that people used to vote more for the person they thought was better qualified. I still do this even though I'm a registered [doesn't matter]. Now, it's all about extremism and that is what tears countries apart. Colin Powell said it well in:

"But just as they did in Philadelphia when they were writing the constitution, sooner or later, you've got to compromise. You've got to start making the compromises that arrive at a consensus and move the country forward."

Extreme politicians imho need to be removed. Unfortunately, they get air time with the media and as aggravating as that can be, we all lose the instant somebody muzzles the media. Personally, I avoid either end of the following spectrum:

Guys (& gals if any) - Thanks for keeping the political part nice and civil as you have. Please keep it this way so the pruning shears can stay in the shed.

I can remember one election when I asked my parents if they voted. They usually said yes and I would ask who they voted for? They would tell me. One time they said no. This was strange and not the norm. I asked why. They smiled and said this time their votes would cancel each other out. They each liked the other candidate. That was the Carter / Ford election. My mom like Carter my Dad Ford. :) I guess that year it was a mixed marriage.

And that was good. We need both to somewhat equalize our system. One party would push the way the country wanted, but after some time, went to far, then the other party was voted in, rinse/wash/repeat. The issue I see now, is the fly over part of the country is still pissed at a certain party, and lack of listening to them, and the rise of socialism, will drive a certain person to a second term, good or bad.

As I wrote before, I'm convinced it's because of this back and forth that we in the US now have the worst of both worlds as far as a medical system, kinda like the donkey hung up half way across the fence. No matter how bad the extreme conservatives would like to get the Government out of medicine, that sure will never happen. At the same time, the insurance/medical industry has too much power to think we'll ever really have a fully Government system for civilians like extreme Dems want.

I was recently reading about how military VA has been a functional single payer health system for a long time. While there are plenty of bad VA stories, there are at least as many bad stories in the civilian world of commercial hospitals and the cost/patient for the VA is MASSIVELY more cost effective. I thought ACA/Obamacare needed work but it was the result of a Left/Right negotiation which managed to meet between the two extremes. (Do some Google research about the 3 legged stool it was based in.) Obviously, that's now been torn apart, so who knows what is next.
