I agree. Just ordered a set.
Mine came with a thin piece of rubber glued to the clamp area, with the rubber in the clamp the pegs tended to slip when I put a lot of pressure on the pegs so I removed the rubber and cleaned off the glue now they clamp tight to the bars and don’t slip at all.

Jeff, you saved me from needing to take pictures. When I needed a new skid plate and Altrider was the best at $299 I went with TREX SP and CB for $500 delivered. I'm strictly fire road and dual track so no need for Altrider.

You appear to be as long legged as I am and this is the best setup by far.

This is the reason I love the S10 with parallel cylinders you can be comfortable (stretch out) and the heat management is better than any bike I've owned.

That and the obvious dependability. Although I put 60,000 on a couple of GSA wet heads and never had a problem. I think if you take care of things they tend to take care of you. Always a lemon in the bunch I guess?

Those Rumbux crash bar look like they would be perfect for pegs. Plus you can access the oil fill hole easier.
I’ve got Yamahas bars and they’re not quite perfect for me.

Here's the setup I made this weekend. Bolted it onto my Altrider skid plate. Used an Eastwood 4-in compact metal bender (found on sale for $85) to make it out of 0.25 x 1.5 in steel. Test rode today and it was a great neutral position, took stress off of my lower back.

Just ordered a set of these to clamp to the Heed crash bars. They're for a larger diameter tube than the Heed bars are made from, so a bit of fettling will be needed to make them fit...
Let me know how you get on with those Paul if you would please. I've got Heed bars and have been thinking of doing this for a while, where did you find them?

The difficult part with the Rumbux was the angles of the bars. There was only one area of vertical tube where you could mount highway pegs and they could be angled correctly. Everywhere else you ended up with them over exposed or worse, angled away from the rider. There are a couple of available highway pegs that work on the Rumbux. I tried to get Rumbux to weld in a gusset with a hole for highway pegs, but they did not want to alter the design. Even for the US importer, (me). :D Just in case anyone wondered, Rumbux is no longer being produced. The IP for the product is for sale. Hopefully someone will make them again. I loved the integrated design for crashbars and skid plate. No one else has done that before or since.

I got them off eBay, so they are coming from China. I made an offer of £44.99 including postage and it was accepted. £2 off the listed price. To make up the variation in tube size I have the option of turning some aluminium sleeves, or using aluminium tubing of a suitable OD and wall thickness. I couldn't get an exact match on tube size but have found some that may be near enough. Again, in eBay, but a UK supplier. It's only £4 so if it doesn't work I'm just going to go with the machining option.

I have found bits for handlebars to help fit oversize clamps in the past. Inexpensive and usually work well. It will depend on the sizes involved of course. Search for 'handlbar shim' to see various options.

Also a word of caution on some of the Chinese clamps. They are often made from cast aluminum or other soft metal and will break more easily than the cast steel ones some brand name companies offer.

Thanks for the heads-up on handlebar shim. I tried all kinds of search terms like reducing sleeve, reducer etc but came up with anything other than what I was after!

The pegs are from a "brand", TCMT. I did some YouTube review trawling and decided they would be fine. I'll give an honest feedback once I've got them. If they're rubbish I'll say so.

Edit: the eBay UK item number is 322635122295

Glad to help. If you can get them to clamp tight enough to stay in place, they should be fine.

edit - 'seatpost shim' and 'seatpost spacer' or 'seatpost reducer shim' Will also get you a different style and different sizes.

Hey VRODE, those pegs are slick man! I love the way they hug the crash bar when retracted. Where can I find a set?
Regards,
Rick James
