My collie before we had to put her down. Happy was my Mom's companion at the retirement village before taking over our hearts and house.

Now it's my cat Schmooze, Karen's Cleo, and Bear the Grand Dog. You can see how Schmooze owns the house by the distance Bear is giving her.

We've never bought a dog. Pound puppies all the way. Our Black Lab mix came from the side of the road; free to good home sign. Turned out she can tell when my wife's sugar goes high/low. Never trained. . . . all on her own. Of all the dogs we've had the Malinois/Pyreneese mixes have become the best dogs ever. The Pyreneese takes the hyper out of the Malinois, and the Malinois keeps the size down. Both breeds are super smart, loyal and protective. I ramble.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
Mila the Wonder Dog. 50 pounds of rescue mutt. Seriously the best dog, I've ever had. Listens well enough to be off leash in public, I could tell her to sit outside 7-11 and she would happily wait there for me to come back for an hour. Just have no damn clue why someone would give up this, and I don't say it lightly, perfect dog. She had a littler, they kept the puppies and sent her to the pound.... She loves the wind in nose. Would ride on the dang hood of the truck if I let her. Still tempted to rig a basket up for the S10 and let her ride pillion.

She refuses to eat carrots.

and loves belly rubs.

Looks like she has a lot of Dutch Sheppard in there. Love the color.
She might?
She's a rescue........................we sent in one of those "Doggy DNA" tests once.
She's mostly LAB-Pitbull mix, but she has a couple other English breeds mixed in.
She's super-sweet, but high-energy.

This is Griswold. He wandered into a family friend's picnic 10 years ago in a very rural area of South Texas... no one knew how he got there, nor would anyone nearby claim him.

We didn't know what he was, how big he'd get (as it turns out, pretty big) but he was the sweetest pup. He's been a constant companion the last 10 years, even if a PITA occasionally.
