It’s a ghetto mod, but it works. While deathtoner makes a superb LED bulb cover, when you convert US dollars to Canadian dollars and then add shipping, it becomes very expensive. So, I thought I would try to make my own at a lesser cost. I took the stock bulb cover, and drilled a 2 inch hole through the center. Then I ordered rubber bulb cover extensions, and fitted them in the cut out cover. It seems to work very well. I still have some fine sanding to do on the cover cut out, but, so far it fits very nicely. My only concern is excessive heat buildup from them LED heat sink. I may have to drill some holes through the rubber as an inlet and outlet for cool air.

Novosight bulbs are from Amazon.ca.
Rubber bulb extensions are from eBay.ca...$5 for 2 including shipping.

I paid five dollars Canadian including delivery. Price really went up, I see that it’s now just over $10 Canadian. Even at that price, it’s still an extremely inexpensive mod.

Can you take a picture with forks at full lock, please?

The fork just touches the lower corner of the rubber boot. It does not affect the lightbulb.

Nice job on your covers ! BUT seems like by the time you spend the money for the rubber and cut the holes in the originals you might as well just spend a little more and buy the Deftoner covers incase you ever want to convert it back to stock.

Thanks.
At $5 for 2 boots, it is way less than buying deftoners covers. Why would i convert back to stock? The led lights work very well. If i have to buy replacement stock covers, they are still less expensive overall INCLUDING the cost of the rubber boots.
