Hi all, whilst the info supplied by our cousins across the pond is excellent, I've noted a few links either don't work, or are too expensive to ship to UK etc so I've updated my findings on the Ebay lights I recently purchased from UK.
Here's where I got to:
Whilst @bimota mentioned that the SW Motech lamp support wouldn't work with the Ebay-sourced lights, and he was right, the aluminium brackets I found on Amazon mentioned in that thread have worked a treat.
I've only used half of the rubbish plastic mounting bracket (the bit that goes immediately under the light itself), and fully intend to replicate that in steel when I can find a mate to TIG weld it up for me.
Bear in mind though that this only refers to those cheap chinese lights sourced in the link from Ebay (I paid £55 and they came with switch harness and relay) that are fitted onto GIVI crash bars, but I'm sure a similar setup would work for other crash bars @Jiivee, did something similar but on OEM bars.

Givi crash bar mounted LED lights, or similar
Hi I have some Givi crash bars and thought that some LED lights mounted on them (or preferably just under main lights) would be the way to go as a supplement to main lights if one or both of them go whilst abroad. As I'm planning a trip to India and back, I don't want to be caught in the middle...
