I got to poke my head behind the big blue curtain at the Yamaha HQ in Georgia last month. They let me sit on and start up one of the two bikes that are currently touring in the IMS shows. The French made bikes were getting DOT turn signals installed. We all found out from the IMS at Long Beach that the price is $9,999. What may not be known is the Japanese factory starts production next month with a May/June delivery date. Also dealers are taking pre orders now but won’t be actually ordering them until March. The first production run (numbers not given) will most likely just go to pre orders for North America (US and Canada) So get to your dealer to be put on a list......

Versahaul makes a carrier like that, rated for 600 lbs.

Interesting that your bike only weighed 550 lbs. They are 575 curb weight. I see you have a lighter pipe on it, but also a skid plate and crash bars. Was your fuel tank completely empty when it was weighed?

I took pics of the calibrated/ certified scales that are used to weigh military vehicles to be loaded on cargo aircraft, so it’s accurate. It kept bouncing between 540 and 560, so I called it at 550. (It weighs in 10lb increments) The bikes tank was 1/2 full. It has a 2 brothers pipe, AltRider skid plate and crash bars.94177C0B-5DDA-4BA6-B3D4-0F4074E27B6E.jpeg61FC7212-71C5-4DD2-AB61-56C2B8980C48.jpeg
