I'll second that. I was just about to put in an order. Maybe another company will pick up the manufacturing part.

If we're lucky, some US manufacturer will buy the IP and designs and run with it. I'd love to see someone like BDCW jump in and put their own spin on the Rumbux system selling as their own. They already have the quality and solid following to make that deal sing. Not to mention it would complement what they already sell and expand on their offerings with something no one else sells in the US, (an integrated system design). Rumbux could even stay in the mix doing R&D for new offerings. Win-Win.

Could you kindly add my email to update me with any further transition of the Rumbux system to possibly another US manufacturer? Best wishes, John

I will post on the forum if I hear any news, but I do not have an email list for that.

Eric,
I'm interested in a pair of the rear protection bars but I have a few questions. I can see clearly that the right side bar attaches to the passenger foot peg as well as to the rear grab bar mounts. Does the left side attach in the same way? I can't find a photo that shows that clearly.

Also, most of the pannier mounts that I've seen have a bar of some type that bolts the two pannier sides together behind the rear tire and/or fender. These don't seem to have that piece in the photos I've seen. Is this bar necessary and, if not, can you tell me why? These look to be a much beefier set up than most pannier racks I've looked at, but I don't want to assume an answer.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the left side mounts the same way, with the exception of adding two spacers. If you PM me your email I will send you the fitment instructions with pictures if you want them.

Rumbux Protection/soft pannier mounts are made from 1" diameter, .082" wall tubing and flat stock. No need for a cross bar due to the much thicker and larger tubing diameter. These are protection bars first, and beefy to protect the bike, and still work for soft bags or other soft luggage systems, but not hard panniers. No flex like a hard pannier system rack with smaller tubing, (that almost always has a cross bar).

That sounds exactly like what I want for my bike. Do the mounts come with all the bolts, washers, spacers, etc.? I'll pm you for fitment instructions.

Thanks!
Yes, the bars come with all hardware necessary to mount them. Generally I put them in a small box that is stapled to the inside of the larger box the bars come in. Typically marked "Hardware and Instructions inside"
