Would you consider taking on another request? Seems like many other members are in need of the locking mechanism for the OEM pannier.
it’s a common part that breaks from what I’m reading on these threads and you can’t source them from anywhere
I’d happily ship you the part to see if you could print these for us..
Thanks

Hello there! I have the design that another user shared with me. I could try to print couple for you and check if it goes ok.

Since it holds a lot of pressure, we need to work the material of printing. And I dont have the Pannier to test it

Where are you located? I’ll send you a pannier for testing if you want to take on this task
Thanks

I'm in Fort Collins, Colorado. But shipping the whole pannier would be costly I guess.

Thanks for the reply!

@deftoner Not trying to steal any "work" from you but are you willing to share that 3D model of the latch? I have access to a 3D printer to test some materials as well. Slags got the broken panniers from me, so I'm close enough to get him parts for testing.

Just grabbed a new set of caps and they are great. A huge improvement over the initial versions (and they were great).

LOL, I shoulda bought the orings at the same time, totally forgot about those. Though I'm sure the originals are still fine. Anyone looking for caps, these are great.

Hey! Sadly I had a very bad experience sharing the designs in the past. But anyone that knows me here in this community knows that I send a lot of free testing "samples" andthen I only charge for the final designs the cost of shipping, materials, and a very small profit to buy more material and continue designing and testing.

I printed some already. So please, both, send me a PM, so I can send you the testing prints for free plus shipping. The shipping cost is 5u$ for US.

Thanks!

New Tenere owner here. I have converted my CBR 1100XX Super Black Bird and 2015 Wing to LED but as the Tenere are all enclosed how does enough air circulate for cooling and how do you run the wires as LED bulbs have those little box converters in line... so were do you put the wiring? Stuff it all inside? I haven't looked inside the caps yet. I definitely want to convert to LEDS if I can.

Buy large caps from Deftoner above and buy LEDs of your choice (theres plenty of options). I personally went with the Light Moses as a recent replacement. Many here running LEDs with no issues of overheat issues. Stuffing the wires back in isn't a big deal, I just wrap them around.

Hello there! Factory halogen are not cooler either. haha. Anyway, I been using a lot of different led brands and quality and friends and ppl here too. The only ones that died on my were the Cyclops (you know the fancy expensive ones), because the fan died, and then it melted. The cooling system is to transfer the heat from the LED Diode to the back of the light but then it does not need for aire to ciculate much. I drove for days in the heat of florida with no issues at all.

The LED driver (the box on the cable), you have tons of space of the side of the housing. Most LED lights has the driver in te cable, but if you are not 100% confortable to have that mini box inside the light housing, there are some LED that has the driver embedder in the back. Just don't get the ones that are massively big. there is no aftermarket cap for those hahah. I designed one for a person here in the forum but they hit the fork when turning.

Sounds good.
I went to Headlight Revolution as I have a very knowledgeable friend who is also a bike mechanic extradinaire and he said that these guys have very bright lights. I will call them tomorrow and get some answers to 2 questions. If good these should easily fit with your caps. Screenshot_20230207-214844_Chrome.jpg

I had similar from Auxito. mayu be little bigger in the back, but no driver in cable or fan. They were like, lets say, 20% less bright than the super big ones. but they were way better than factory. Sometimes you dont need 100w LED melting your headlight housing and blinding uptoming traffic. I pared them with a philips LED bar and used the bar when I was "off roading"

What was the "very bad experience" from sharing a model? Did they f up printing it and cry like it was your fault for sharing modeling hours for free with them?
