Klim/Gore-Tex - When is enough, enough?

The main front zipper broke on my a little over 4 years old Klim Latitude jacket, so I stopped at a motorcycle dealer to inquire about buying a new jacket, well they don’t normally sell Klim gear but the lady said she could get it, this was on a Saturday and she said she would call me on Tuesday with information. Tuesday she called and said the high vis color was out of stock but she also told me the distributer she talked to said I should be able to get the entire jacket replaced under warranty so I guess that’s what I’m going to attempt to do. Do you think I will have any luck ?

I do think it's likely you'll have luck. My experience with premium brands is they provide premium support. I know that was my experience with Gore. I've heard similar with Klim.

I just got through the claim process they sure don’t make it easy but that’s understandable,after sending in the claim I got email with claim number , hopefully everything turns out well and I get a new high vis Klim Latitude jacket shipped to me.

Well I shipped the Klim Latitude jacket with broken zipper to Klim in Rigby Idaho on June 18th
Got it back today July 3rd with new zipper installed, so far the zipper seems to be working fine, the old zipper never did work very well even when the jacket was new. I was hoping for a completely new jacket but that didn’t happen.

Well those things are expensive. Wants and needs……. At least you got what you needed
