So, Two Lights Ernie has helped me out once again, cranked out this useful kickstand pad, complete w powdercoated finish, diamond plate bottom surface and attaching bolts. I installed these on the bike in about 10 minutes. Easy Peasy, quick and easy.

If you'd like a set, contact Ernie directly at: dakotabeemer@hotmail.com

He's a great guy and can help you out pretty quickly.

It looks like you have to drill the side stand to fit it. What did it cost?

I just installed the Altrider stainless steel plate and my bike no longer needs a plastic side stand pad when parked at work.

I was reminded of a cheap replacement option -a hockey puck- cheap and available, just drill up-bolt on with spare stainless hardware. Seems like this would add height to the existing kickstand and would also spread the load on less than perfect surfaces.
I'll give it a try and report back...

Did hockey puck work? Any pics?

Has anyone bought a kickstand pad from Amazon or Ebay?

you have to be carefull with some companies as well as the gen 1 and gen 2 side stands are different, i ordered a ALTRIDER foot for mine they send me a gen 1 by mistake as i asked for a gen2, so it had to go back and them send me out a gen 2 one

I did the hockey puck kickstand pad on my GS before the Tenere and honestly the best setup for a kickstand.
With the Tenere I went with the Altrider setup because it was quick and easy and it works but tends to come loose in time and if not careful the little fine screws do strip out.
The hockey puck is far better, support better, tougher and cheaper. The only con. is harder to fit and install.
