I like the key ones, can remember when they came with out a key and coming out of pub or gym and cap has been nicked
 happened 3 or 4 times, so always bought a looking cap.

I like the way it looks, would be all over it if there was a lanyard attached to it so that it wouldn't fall to the ground and roll halfway across the gas station parking lot after I remove it.

my new OBERON one arrived today time to get it fitted
That looks amazing - and perfect timing for me to find this thread as I just got a used 2017 and assume that prev owner had one of those quick release tank bags that have the horse shoe mount on the filler - must have been something like that as the ring for the filler is broken in 3 spots - anyway, thinking I like this cap better sooooooo, now to find out if the Canadian Oberon dealer will bring one in - they don't list gas caps in their inventory :/

Thanks guy! :)

quick update, I got the Vortex V3 Fuel Cap and it is far superior to the Oberon Performance Keyless Fuel Cap. Model FUE-0418. The Oberon is dog crap TBH I have them both.
I am pretty sure that most Yamaha tanks have the same three fastener holes whatever you want to call them and while to Vortex brand doesn't claim compatibility the thing sure does work. I got mine on ebay that came off an YZF R1 so that should alleviate any worry hopefully if you want to purchase one for your bikeIMG_3717.JPG

superior in what way - I'm running the oberon and satisfied with everything except that the o ring seems to need to be reset often - more info please - I'm not averse to a better muse trap if there is one :)

IMO it's superior because there isn't any loose O-rings to reset ever. I wasn't at all pleased with that. I think the design is garbage because of the o-rings on the Oberon. The Vortex has a much better design over all. Where the Oberon is just a flat design and has loose o-rings the vortex is a sit in design more like stock and the cap creates a way better seal. With the Oberon the cap itself had a terrible o-ring that in you aren't careful you'll flatten the bottom and render it useless. I deem the Vortex way better because on the cap it also has a ball bearing mechanism that won't let negative pressure build up.
That is why I think its way way better and I have used both
