big fan of good lighting , but how much do they weigh ? its a good look for a Tenere . amazing when we put stuff on this bike how it transforms the looks of this bike to make it our own custom machine . park to bikes side by side after their owners have had them awhile and they hardly look like the same bikes.

Had a dealer induced rear tire balance problem that didn't show up till I was 3 hrs away from Great Falls, MT. The lights were vibrating up and down about 3" total. It was like riding a washing machine with unbalanced jeans. Before I made it to the dealer in Rapid City, the bike side of the mount snapped off. The lights survived, but I'm going to need to fab up a bracket that ties into the crash bars... and fix the damaged mount point.

Back to the drawing board...

I'm not an engineer, and not trying to discourage you, but IMHO you are going to be chasing down these mounting bracket issues for a while. That is a lot of weight to be hanging off the headlight nacelle/gauge cluster/windshield mount bracket that attaches to the steering stem. Add the fact that it is sticking out there a good way acting as a force multiplier (or whatever the engineers call it). A few folks on here have had trouble with that steering stem-attached bracket cracking. Tri-angulating to the crash bars is a good idea, but I would use some sort of rubber bushing there, because there is going to be some movement between the headlight mounting bracket and the crash bars that will have to be accounted for. A rigid connection is just going to create stress somewhere else.

Keep us posted on your progress! Hope you get it sorted. Those are some awesome headlights!

Finished the install. I removed the Givi crash bars, and installed the AltRider ones. My wallet hates me, but I shouldn't have to do any more modifying of them... knock on wood!

The aux lights have become the mains; the mains are unplugged.

I don't like the way they look, but I love the way they work! (They're lined up. The camera man is crooked...) I do like the extra protection the AltRider bars afford, over the Givi ones.20220524_143856.jpg20220524_143903.jpg

Why didn't you remove the headlight? If they no longer work, maybe you could have placed the two adaptive lights in the place of the oem headlight. They may not fit perfectly, but they could be closer to the front of the bike

I'd have to pull off the factory lights, and make another bracket. I don't have a garage to fab anything, anymore. So, I went with the brackets I already had.

Somewhere in my boxes of stuff are shorter brackets. If they ever come to light, they'll go on.
