Hi! New to the forum. I just traded my 17 Triumph Explorer for a 23 S10es. I cant wait to dial it in! We do a bit of moto camping in the NC mtns. Ready for better weather!
Dealer said the pannier racks are BOd still. But got some other parts on order. Engine guards, bash plate. Researching lights to add when the bars come in.

As i will be in parts ordering mode for a bit, any suggestions I should be considering are welcome!

Sorry wrong forum. Hahaha.

Welcome, and congratulations on your Tenere. This is the place for all the questions you might have. Great bunch of people here that really enjoy this, 'under the radar' motorcycle.

1st, as in the 'Basement Forums' of AdvRider, and 'under the radar' as magazine editors and YouTube influencers have really missed the mark on this motorcycle. Your new Tenere purchase will hopefully be one of your best motorcycle purchases. It has for me. Enjoy the many, trouble free miles ahead of you.

Hi! New to the forum. I just traded my 17 Triumph Explorer for a 23 S10es. . . .
And possibly only. Steve, aka @eemsreno, has well over 200k miles on his first one. He has a second one, but is still touring on the first one.
Ok, JT3NSB, my guestimate was completely wrong. He now has 311,000 miles on his first one. . . . and he's not done with it.

Congratulations I didn’t even know there were any 2023 Tenere’s available ! Where I live it’s very rare to find a Yamaha dealer that has new Tenere’s in stock, Would love to see some pictures of yours !

@Cycledude I had been looking off and on at 22’s for a while. Also hard to find. There was one 23 nearby but the dealer was being difficult, I saw one pop up on cycle trader that was closer to my house. Called the minute they opened and the sales guy said, no there is now way we have one that doesn’t have a deposit on it. But he asked me to hold while he looked. Sure enough the crate was just delivered and I jumped on it. Whole thing took less than an hour. They told me there are very few of these yet in the us. But who knows…. I was lucky on timing..

As much as they're sought after, you'd think you'd see more in the wild. If I see a large ADV bike, it's a GS. Otherwise, all I see is KLRs. Although, to be honest, I don't see any Tigers or KTMs either.
