We have a few XTZ750's that we're converting over to raid usage.. Personally though I ride a GPz900R as I can't get my leg over the original Super Tenere without falling off. As for the new Super Tenere my partner was at one of the UK's press launches last year at Silverstone. Not sure if I'll eventually go for one as only being a 5'7" girl it's a bit heavy/tall for me pick-up if I ever drop it :D

Glad to have another of the "opposite" sex here on the forum!!! I think we have some riders here all ready that are in about the same height category.

:)

AHA !!! The "enemy" reveals herself. WEll, there goes the neighborhood.

KIDDING !!!! O:) You are most welcome. You should provide a delightful change from some of these miserable old codgers (self excluded) around here. Welcome aboard.

PIcking up bikes is a problem for most of us. I dropped my KLR right in the parking lot last year. It's hard to be cool when you do that. I grabbed a bystander and pretended I was showing him how to drop and upright a bike. Hopefully looked like a well planned out lesson to most folks. Anyway, delighted to have you. R

Actually, I think he did. He's sharper than your average biker. We're a dozy bunch. What part of the world do you call home ???

Hiya Kymmy

I see you've followed me across to here.

Should we enlighten Colorider or let him figure it out for himself..

I'm just a poor little English girl, currently live about 40 miles north of London.

I did though live in both South Africa and Australia when I was a lot younger.

@BigTim... Nah, we'd probably get accused of corrupting them O:)

WE wouldn't want to corrupt anyone. I'd better behave myself as my wife reckons I've corrupted her LOL.(but that's another story)

Talking about picking the new S10 up, if you can pick up an XTZ750 then the XT1200Z is so much easier because the C of G is so much lower, it was demonstrated to me in my local dealers and I picked it up like it was a 125 crosser. You might struggle throwing a leg over it becuase with all the boxes on they get in the way, I found it easy to get on but a lot harder to get off because i kept catching my heel on the side box.

Release date is all over the board. No one knows for sure. It was May, then November for the U. S., now August. August for us as well, but they're saying July. Really have no idea.

I am not familiar with the 750. A more smarter guy than myself, who will not be difficult to find, will have to respond to that one.

I'm in Canada by the way. We are severely deprived up here from what most normal, well adjusted folk are accustomed to. R

We did a 850(trx) with WR forks conversion for one of the 750 guys who already had a hagon with 18" rear.. Only way I could get one foot down on that was to slide sideways off the seat.. Even with a standard set-up I wouldn't feel safe off the tarmac...

I'll have to get a test ride on a XT1200z as I believe the seat on the lowest setting is similar to the bike I normally ride.

Okay, you guys are starting to use big words again. I'm gonna have to sign off ... plus I have to go in and generate some motorsickel revenue. You guys have fun and get it all sorted out by the time I get back.

The split saddle takes a bit of getting used to, even though your bit is set low the passengers bit is still quite high and you need to get your foot high enough to clear that. Once on though your feet would probably be fairly flat on the floor. I found it quite strange to not be able to slide backwards and forwards on the saddle like I've always done since riding crossers as a young lad but once I got over that it was a lovely bike to ride but I reckon someone will bring out a gel saddle before long as the standard one gets a bit uncomfortable after a couple of hours (I though it did anyway, other people who've ridden one for longer may disagree). Other than that I found it a stunning well sorted bike to ride.
