My '86 FJ doesn't have a fuel shut off. The '77 XS 360 I had didn't either. I haven't seen a Basic course that doesn't supply the bikes for the course. I'm just not understanding why the curriculum hasn't changed up there. They're not teaching it down here. :)
We do supply the bikes, and I'd say 2/3 of them still have fuel shut offs of some sort. Some have the priming valve, some have the old-school On/Off/Res ones. We do have some fuel injected bikes, but valves are still around on the others. We prefer to teach it as a 'just in case you run into a carbureted bike' kind of thing. :)

That's the very first thing y'all gotta ask any new girlfriend, or clandestinely find out which way she wipes. So, if its rear to front, just give her a miss. Remember, one slip and yer in the sh*t.
On the topic of bum washers, we have had one for many years. Spent a month in Japan years ago...the Japanese are a very civilized and hygienic race. These electronic bumwashers are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Upon our return to Canada from Japan we bought an electronic bumwasher, never looked back, ha ha..
Hell, the Germans have an advertisement about these devices and the punch line is "are you still smearing?" So, save a tree and spray your ass.
There ain't nothun like a clean bum.
