I get it. Just to be clear I'm more speaking of hard core trail riding. I'm still thinking of pairing my Sena to the phone for music on long highway rides.

I was never into listening to anything while riding. I wanted to stay alert and pay attention. But after riding very familiar roads I started to listen to music on earbuds. I’ve found that I can have it on and still be attentive to the road. Kinda just interesting background noise. On busy roads or city driving it stays off. I keep a Bluetooth controller on the bars. It works on quiet country rides, which is most of my riding.

Bluetooth adapter puts music into the Autocom SPA2, via phone. Unless things get serious, it's on loud-ish. Heavy rain, unfamiliar off-road, etc., it's turned way down.
On my first two bikes, I didn't have music. I've only had it on my last bike, and the S10.

Till retiring I considered having the FM radio on to be a basic part of commuting.
