Hi ya'll .... I reckon it might be a tad lonely here for a while. ::)

Thought I'd join up and sound off!

My new ride appears on Saturday. It's the fast blue one 8)

I'm one of the lucky ones ... I got to test ride the first one in the UK. This is a superb bit of kit and I can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on the beast. I intend to use this thing properly ..... it deserves it.

Congrats! I for one can't wait to hear all about it. Don't forget to take some pictures while she's still clean and shiny!

Re: It's comin' ....mines here!!

Hi there. I just found this forum and thought I would register now.
Luckily I am now in posession of me new XT1200. However I am still in need of the lower seat option. Also I am patiently waiting for Akrapovic to undertake manufacture and supply of a slip on muffler for the S10RA.

Anyone aware in here of any options for the bike apart from the usual genuine yamaha offerings?

I just found this place too. Nice site, Venture.

I can't speak from any experience with the Tenere, but the aftermarket will probably take a little while to develop. Right out of the gate I doubt there will be anything besides Genuine Yamaha. I haven't gotten out to the dealer yet to even look at this bike, but it's on my "to-do" for sure ever since I rode a BMW 1200GS and came back unimpressed. I'm hoping this one proves to be more impressive.

No aftermarket farkles around yet but they'll come 8)

Hey Sparafucile .... you'll be lucky to find one of these in a showroom .... not many dealers will risk the outlay.

Got it .... It's absolutely superb 8) I'll take it out tomorrow and get the tyres scrubbed in. It was sad parting with my beautiful MT-01 but at least it sold instantly to someone I knew.

All right Swagger! Let's see it! Upload some pics to the gallery if you can.

Definitely let us know your thoughts after you've put a few miles on it.

Here's a pick on the first day. I discovered that my FZ1 R&G fork protectors fitted so that's my first farkle.

I tried the gallery and ended up posting the one I test rode .... it went on twice ::)

I've put a few hundred miles on the bike now and can honestly say that I'm loving it. Truly all day comfortable. The farkles are gradually being sorted.

Fork protection is by R&G. The FZ1 fitting is a perfect fit.
The engine bars are the Yamaha OEM components.
I'm currently considering either Clearwater light units or the Yamaha specified PIAA units.
Pazzo levers ... I'm going to use a pair of new levers that I had for my MT-01. The clutch unit is fine but I have Speedycom checking with the manufacturer to see if I can use the adaptor from the FJR in order to get the brake lever to fit. I'll take one off my FJR and check at the weekend if they don't get back to me in time.
I currently have my GPS mounted to a Powerlet Powerbar but I want to change that for a bespoke Touratech device.

I can't quite figure that one out. The thing is beautiful and with the short supply they should sell every single one they come by.

Wow, you really have gotten right down to the farkling, haven't you? The Pazzos are a nice bit of kit, a bit pricey but nice.
