The Yamaha dealer I work at during busy season (I'm otherwise retired) charges $11.95 to cut a key, blank included. You must have the code off the old key or the metal tag that came with your bike. You all would be doing yourselves a huge favor, whatever brand you ride, to go right now and write this down somewhere.
In this case, it's worth having a dealer run the VIN through the manufacturers site to see if the key code was entered into record when the bike was sold...dealer is supposed to do this, but we know how that goes....

I have a spare set of keys attached to the battery hold down strap, and the corrrect allen wrench to remove the side cover in the tank bag...

The 2 dealers I called both said they would have to order new lock sets. They said Yamaha doesn't do this.
To be honest, I'm not that impressed with my local dealer. When I took my bike in to have the electrical issue fixed. They didn't mention the tire. They didn't ask if I wanted oil change, or mention some problems pointed out to me when I had the bike inspected. They did push hard to sell me another bike.
The small independent shop I took my bike to sold me a new tire (that I new I needed), offered to do the oil change, and warned me of some maintenance issues I will need taken care of soon (front brake grabbing a little on the left side and the rear rotor will need to be replaced when I change the brakes). These are all maintenance issues I knew I need to take care of. But, they cared enough to tell me.
