Issues with Turn Signal Switch

Hey hey

So in the last 3 weeks my turn signal switch has been intermittently acting up.
I'm having troubles turning on the RHS turn signals. It was failing to turn on just once in a while and has progressively been getting worse until It now fails 99% of the time.
Flicking to the Left is not a problem. It is flicking to the right that is the issue.

So full disclosure I have the STS Smart Turn Signal fitted. Turn switch is made a into momentary switch by adding some small compressible foam discs so the switch does not stay active/on to one side - it just slides over to one side then back to center.

A couple of days ago I pulled the switch gear apart and dismantled the turn switch mechanism.
I then inspected the workings of the turn switch and how it slides and how the ball detent works.
The internal lever is not a 50/50 swing over the ball detent - ie it is not centered on the lever and swings further one way compared to the other. Turning Right does not feel as good when you turn left.

The turn switch movement was a bit rough, so I cleaned it - was not dirty but did it anyway.
There was no lube in the switch, so I decided to lightly lube the nylon/nylon sliding contact area with some Bell Ray weather proof grease, and put some Dielectric silicon grease on the sliding copper contacts. Switch is now much smother.

Before putting the switch back into the switch gear casing, I tested the turn switch with and without the STS rubber discs. It all operated fine.
Put it back into the switch gear case and button it all up and it still worked fine.

Bike sat till.... Today on the way to work..... all my Right turns failed to work! WTF! Bloody dangerous as we drive on LHS of road here is Oz.

I'm stumped.
Bike has 66,xxx km 2015 S10 ES
I have had the STS installed since 2017.
Going to pull switch apart again tonight.
Maybe there is a hairline crack in the nylon frame and that is just enough to break the elec contacts when it is screwed back in the case.
Maybe I have to JB Weld an internal brace inside to limit movement?

Any other Ideas.

Thanx.

I would try bypassing the STS, maybe the module has failed?

STS module works fine... there is a start up sequence that flashes on power up.

UPDATE: so I pulled it apart again this afternoon when I got home.
I looked carefully at the amount of movement the whole assembly moves when pushing to the right and left - about 0.5-1mm each way.
It really is the poor job of plastic support around the screw posts - they just look like they are going to break each time you use the switch.

Anywhooo
Could not see why it would not be working... left turn works right not!

The 1st thing i tried fixed my problem - I decided to slightly loosen the bottom right screw that holds down both the turn switch and the cruise control switch mechanism to the flimsy plastic cage post.
It was barley tight to begin with just snug. So now it is just more than finger tight - and that damn right signal now works again..... finiky little bugger.

Getting ready to install STS smart turn and brake module so this should be helpful. Thank You! What did you use for the power source to the STS smart turn module?

You need switched 12V power...

I have a PDM60 power distribution block that I power all my accessories including the STS.

I am trying to install the STS today. I created are wire harness so I wouldn't have to splice the wires. Got it wired and the foam inserted into the turn signal switch. Time to test it and nothing. No turn signals and no hazards. Decided to remove the STS. Took out the foam inserts and removed the wire harness. Still no turn signals or hazards. Checked the fuse and it isn't blown. Everything else on the left control works. What am I missing?
