So, we’ve been telling you about the products we’re developing for the Super Tenere, but haven’t really told you much about AltRider. This seems like a good time and place to do that.
AltRider officially launched March 1 of this year after a lot of development. We have an in-house design and engineering team, and manufacture everything here in the United States. That means we can ensure quality materials and methods, as well as the tight tolerances that provide a precise fit . It also means that we – and our customers – are able to support American jobs, which is something we're really proud of.
We’re riders, so when we develop new products we’re thinking about what we’d want on the bike. Off road, in the mud, through the rivers – not to mention our daily commute – we have a blast, and meet great people while we do it. Our own riding and other adventure riders are what motivates us to create parts that look good, function properly, and are reasonable to install.
Giant Loop and AltRider's First Annual Dual Sport Ride at BMW MOA
Not only do we plan rides and head to rallies, but we also built our website as a tool for the riding community. With our Rider Locator, you can search for other riders by several criteria, such as zip code and riding ability. Photo Challenges are opportunities for adventure riders to share stories and pictures of their epic trips, and our blog is a place where we share inside looks at product development and highlight inspiring individuals in our community.
When you visit or call the AltRider office, you’re going to talk to one (or more) of the members of our team.
Jeremy LeBreton, Founder & President; Brianna Home, Vice President; Jacob Ellul-Blake, Lead Project Engineer
Don Hogan, Lead Industrial Designer; Christina Olson, Marketing Coordinator; Paul Sabovik, Dealer Liaison // Supply Chain
We’re working to do more than just provide you with another skid plate – we want to enhance your ride, whether that’s through strong parts that are easy to use, clear instructions (often also available in video), or helping you find a new riding buddy.
Thought you’d want to know who you were dealing with here and what we’re trying to do differently. We’re happy to be a part of this forum, and appreciate the feedback you’ve all given. Looking forward to May when we get to see all of you US guys post photos of the bike and share your thoughts!
