IMS Cleveland - who's going

So it looks like the wife and I will be going to the IMS in Cleveland next month. First time in many years. I am hoping that a local dealer will have the S10 display bike for a day or so as it would be easier to spend time climbing all over it there as opposed to the show. Plus I am only interested in the S10 and the aftermarket accessories. That probably won't fill the entire day.

I'm going to be there. I have a weekend booked in Cleveland to include the show, rock and roll hall of fame and whatever else I can find.

Some friends and I go on Sunday every year. Will be there at opening time.

Like always Buckeye (Bill) there should be one heck of a turnout there in Cleveland? DOes the MSTA people still meet at the restaurant across from the airport on the north side? Landing Strip or something? Enjoy the show!!!

IIRC, that restaurant was torn down to allow for runway expansion. Some folks go downtown to a brew pub while the "official" MSTA (name changed this year) meet closer to the IX Center. To me, the advantage of going would be to chat with the ALTrider and Twisted THrottle folks. I still would rather see the bike at a dealer as I imagine it would be less crowded.

Twisted Throttle will be there in "The Marketplace" I, Kevin - the guy who usually answers your questions on this forum, might be there. I used to live in Lakewood which is just outside of the greater Metro area near the Rock Hall. I am pushing to get to go on this trip and hope I get there so I can meet a few of you guys.

We don't actually bring a huge collection of goods. We usually treat the IMS as a Show you what we have and take home a catalog event. I ahve to find out the specifics of the contract we have with The IMS folks. Since I usually do not go on the road I don't know what our limitations are in this area. If there is something specific you guys want to see I can most likely have it there for you. Before I commit to anything let me find out. Also not sure if I will be there or not. Either way one of my co-workers (and riding buddy) Dereck will be there for sure. One favor I ask of you guys is that you give him a hard time.

I'm in. Also looking forward to meeting AltRider and TwistedThrottle folks, in addition to sitting on the Super10. It would be nice if a local dealer got one for display but I'm not holding my breath.

Also looking forward to seeing the Tiger 800, even though it's not so much in my future like the Yamaha.

A great place for food right down the street from the IMS event is the 100th Bomb Group: http://www.100thbgrestaurant.com/ good chow, great theme, and the place is huge.

That's weird, I thought that it had been torn down a few years ago for airport expansion. But the map looks like it is in the same place. Anyway, I'll second the recommendation. HSTA used to have a club dinner their and we always had good food, it's not real expensive either.

thanks folks for the tips.....I was lucky enough to talk my wife into attending so I have to mix the motorcycle stuff in with a few "tourist" type attractions.
