Hello fellows, I hope I'm posting this in the right place, if not sorry.
So I bought the super tenere xtz1200 2016 from Italy and got imported it to UK.
I found what I need to change speedometer parameters, and the headlamp, when go to local garage that does MOT and vat registered, get the certificate where they declare what motorbike is good to use in UK, when I need to submit VCA application including COC from Italy. Does it all?
My main 2 question would be:
1.Does anybody knows how I can change the kmh to mph on the speedometer?
2.As well UK law requires the headlamps be lighting to the left side, not right. How I can manage it? Can I adjust it or I need buy whole new light?

Does anybody has experience with bike importing here and would share with me what else I need to know? Thanks, have a good rides ever !

I have a UK bike, so am presuming the Italian bikes are the same.
KPH to MPH and back on my bike, with bike running and stationary, press trip button and keep pressed for a few seconds, that’s it. Also changes odometer/trip figures from one to the other.

Note - mine is a Gen 1 bike.

Apologies if I’ve confused matters here, just noticed in an online handbook that the process is completely different on a Gen 2 bike, but detailed on section 4-17 of the handbook.

Mine is probably gen 2, because speedometer is fully electronic. And I don't have any handbook. Will try your advise, mate, thanks.

What's the question on lighting? And just for instance, the Canadian bike won't change mph/kph, the US bike does.

What's the question on lighting?
UK law requires the lights be adjusted and lighting more to the left road side, (in Europe lighting to right)
Because my bike is from Europe, so I'm thinking the lights is adjusted to the right road side, not left. Same as with cars? So my question is
1. it is possible to adjust front head light to the left road side?
2. Or I should buy new UK manufactured front head lamp?
3. Or on bikes this feature is not existing at all?
Thanks.

The headlamps are fully adjustable. Mine are aimed in the middle of my lane, sorry I didn't understand.

I looked through that PDF that Boris posted and didn't see the adjusters listed. The pictures are listed somewhere. There are two adjusters for each half, two down low and center and two outside edge. An 8mm socket or a phillips screw driver will make the adjustments from the back side. They could have made it easier. You gotta know where those suckers are to be able to get a socket on them. Don't recall if there is a direct view of them or if you need a mirror. You'll need a dark room and a blank wall to aim at. Use the low beam cut off across the top edge of the pattern for your reference line. Cover one light at a time and adjust. Mine were cross-eyed, but the bulb is centered in the housing so I left them that way, it takes a bunch of adjustment to center the light pattern and the bulb gets way off center. Mine were originally aimed into the tree tops. I think I remember reading of other folks commenting on the cross-eyed light pattern. Strange but it works fine.
