Hello Team !

I think I once had a post on this topic but for the life of me cant find it at all, I even used the search LOL !

If you need any type of service on your bike your welcome to PM me. This is probably more so for some of the new folks that have no idea its available. I know this bike front to back and have hours worth of info, hints, tricks, and general info to share. Ive had folks visit from all over the country and several are return customers. Just wanted to share again that if you need someone you can trust, I will be happy to talk with you. Ive probably worked on more Super Tenere motorcycles than probably anyone in the world over the last 11+ years.
Anyhow, even if you would like a second opinion, I would be happy to share mine with you on anything to do with this bike. Feel free to PM me or make a comment.

Don't forget that this bike can take care of you for over 250K miles, but it will need service. It's NOT just oil and fuel. I can tell you stories about how you have a 'service' choice....... spend $20 when the part is NOT broken........ or spend $2000 - $3500 + after the $20 part breaks..... We could save you $1980 .... LOL Ive seen this many times.

Also, just a friendly reminder as Ive mentioned so many times. If we do something like a valve check you will receive all your pre / post numbers. You will probably receive more info than you ever wanted. This is very useful for your peace of mind for the next time the work is done, or for the next person that wants to buy your bike. If you need to take your bike to another mechanic please make sure to 'request' (demand) this info. If they dont provide, or dont want to provide this info, I would find a place that there attitude would be "no problem doing that for you". Its important to have this info. You can PM me for more specific reasons why.

Inherently I always look over peoples bikes and find bolts missing, parts gone, pads worn to the metal, Etc, its good to have someone give the bike a good once over. I have many - many stories about these situations. And if you have time, I'm sure I will tell you 1-5 of these stories..... LOL Ya know the one- guy rolls up complaining about the shifting, the bike is missing the shifter bolt. The shifter is about to fall off the bike, he wonders why it wont shift ? Another - the guy had a broken clutch bolt, the bottom of the bolt fell out the bottom, the top unscrewed 99% out, and then topped out on the hand guard. The clutch lever was held on by 1 % of the broken clutch bolt, he wondered why the clutch was dragging all the time ? He was literally 1% away from the clutch lever falling off on the high way and he having no way to disengage the clutch.................... Not a good thought.

If you need some service and a comprehensive look over let me know !

Thanks to this community, I certainly have enjoyed all these years.

Honestly, if you were within a few hundred miles of me I'd take the ride and have you give my bike a whole once-over. Maybe if I ever get around to riding coast to coast I'll schedule a day or two in your neck of the woods.

Where in TX are you? It’s a big state!! Would definitely like more details about your shop and its location, need my valves checking soon, and am less than excited about doing it myself!!

Tabasco, have you shut down your website and closed up shop?
No more web site... Google wanted a $1000 a year for some type of authenticity 'check mark', so they would continue to acknowledge the name/site........ I said, "no-thanks"....

I’m at 20k on a 2017 in NY. I love the idea of a big roadtrip in order to get the most experience on my bike. In your opinion by what mileage should I definitely be there?

Depends on what service your concerned about... Typically its valve check in this 'ball park' mileage.... if this is the case I would probably suggest before 30K.. If you go over its not life or death, but don't just blow it off. Of course there are possible other things to consider while the bike is torn down. All of these type options are talked about before so the service is very stream lined.

Come on down and let us treat you to some Texas Bar-B-Que...... And a big glass of cold Ice Tea. I bet you try and figure out a way to take some home with you............. LOL

Go to Hard 8 BBQ when in DFW area, and I live close to Memphis, the BEST BBQ in the world so if I say it is good BBQ then it just might be.

TABASCO, this is probably in relation to an SSL certificate, which is required by most modern browsers so their connection to you is encrypted and more easily authenticated.

Those certificates are cheap if you know where to look, and you can keep your website running for a few tens of dollars per year vs. the expensive guys and scammers, but just like with vehicle maintenance, you have to know where to look. Google is the stealership, and there are much cheaper options out there. You might have to learn how to turn a tech wrench a little bit, but if you want some help with that, let me know.

After returning from Tuktoyaktuk I removed the aftermarket hand wind-rain protectors and heard something small hit the concrete, it was the nut for the clutch lever bolt, luckily it didn’t get lost, the bolt was raised up about 1/4 inch, I greased the bolt and reinstalled it.
If I’m ever in Texas with the Tenere I just might lookup the Tobasco place.
