Ok I must be missing something here as it looks like a real easy job. Just fitting my yamaha wind deflector kit and must have lost the plot, looking at the instructions it doesn't seem to make sense, the picture basically looks like you insert the rubber grommet into the pre drilled holes, sliding it in from the outside of the bike side, then place the deflector and use the screw, however if you do this there is nothing holding the whole set up in place and the deflector would just fall away. The only other option is to place the rubber grommet on the opposite side of were the deflector sits and screw it in that way, just tried this and it just doesn't seem that secure.

Granted its 2am here and I should probably be sleeping, what am I missing here guys?

Anyone got some close up pics of how theres are installed?

As you tighten those rubber welnuts, they bulge out and hold tight in the hole you just put them in. Just like magic!!!

And they will flex in the wind, they are not truly tight.

Yep, the wellnuts have to be tightened via the screws. They are an expanding rubber with a nut suspended at the end and will hold the deflectors in place with ease once tightened.

Take the 3 well nuts and push them into the holes from the outside to inside. They should stop, but will not be tight until you place the wind deflector against them. Now install the screws through the wind deflector and tighten. The well nut will bulge and stay in place. Do not over tighten, but enough to secure.
Hope this helps..
