I took my 2006 ST1300 to the dealership for my state inspection. $7. Came home with

2017 Super Tenere with 6300 miles for just under $9k. I’ve been lurking for a couple years. Let the fun begin.

Great bike good deal. I like your helmet jacket combo,
Hi viz it is!!!!!
If I may make a constructive comment, the Tenere has poor lights, they are halogens.
Suggest you add two very bright LEDS mounted onto the crash bars with either a switch to control them or wired to the high beam switch.
This will give your bike a profile and greatly increase your chances of being seen in traffic.

Congratulations from Kansas. The sand is a great choice of color probably more rare than my red. Enjoy the adventure. Ride safely.

Thanks for the welcomes. Six years of lurking? Time flys when you’re having fun! Wrecked my Heritage back in 2016. Totaled it on the second get off along with my right shoulder. Found a 2006 Honda ST1300 for a good price and road that after healing my shoulder.
My shoulder now or as I call it My Terminator Starter Kit.

I am so looking forward to riding this bike. Now if somebody would just turn off the East Texas Blast Furnace.....I’m in the burbs north of Houston.

congrats... I myself just moved from a Royal star Venture to the FUN side of riding ... I"ve put 3000 miles on my in a month and only took a 1-weekend trip. I ride it every day it isn't raining and some days it is raining.... You will love it. My only problem is keeping it under 80 mph ....

Congrats on an expensive inspection tag and a new to you bike in the garage. I hope you enjoy the more upright riding position and where the bike takes you.

Don't feel too bad about going in for a tag and coming home with a different bike. I test rode a Ducati and my wife bought a BMW while I was on the test ride. This stuff happens!
