I would like it on the bar above the screen (Quad lock already there however on one side) does yours fit?

Any idea if Garmin are going to update their models if I buy now? Thanks.

Just curious. I’ve always had Garmin and have a 595 now so I’m looking to upgrade in the future. In the uk TomToms are very popular too. What are people experiences with them on here?

Garmin has always served me well in GPS form for sailing. .. your life depends on it quite often in fog etc! Decided to buy the XT, hopefully picking one up this afternoon if they answer the phone and have stock :)

+1 on the Zumo XT. I am using the Garmin mount and harness on the Madstad windscreen bar. Hardwired to the OEM accessory plug using an Eastern Beaver adapter.

I have a Garmin Zumo 550 and a newer Garmin Zumo 396 LMT-S and I mount it using a Telferizer mount, simple, sturdy and reliable. I have used Telferizer mounts on every motorcycle I have owned since 2005 and I believe the U.K. Police and Emergency Services use them too. The guy who makes them is essentially a one-man-band and if he doesn’t already make it, then he can usually make one to order.

Have had Zumo XT on Goldwing for the past two years, it’s the easiest to read garmin I’ve ever owned.
Wanted to also use it on the Tenere but garmin wants about $80 for another mount so at Christmas when Revzilla had the complete unit on sale for $399 and a free $50 gift card I ordered another complete Zumo XT to replace the Zumo 595, 595 is a good GPS but with my poor vision it’s often difficult to read.

Yes I would like the Motopumps mount... but I have just ordered the same type mount within the UK. It's half the price but not as nicely machined or finished as the Motopumps one.

Nice setup. How do you like the charging puck for the Quad Lock? It looks like a great idea.
I love it. Very quick one step on and off the mount. It replaces a Ram X-Grip that I was using. The Ram mount requires two hands and several steps; first squeeze the mount open with one hand and place the phone with the other, then loop the little elastic retainers over each corner one at a time another two handed procedure, and finally plug in the (probably not water resistant) lightning cable from an adapter in the 12V outlet on the dash.
The other issue with the Ram mount was the grip fingers were always pressing the volume or on/off buttons on the phone. This required shifting the phone off-center on the mount which felt less secure to me.
I really like the Quad Lock over the Ram for the shock/vibration isolator as well. It’s the only way to go!

I too switched to the quad lock for the same reasons. I'm wondering if the charging puck (I'm sure there's a better description) will work on my Pixel phone? Off to the google.

Don’t see why not, I don’t think the various wireless chargers out there are brand specific.

I have a Zumo 396-LMT-S that I mounted to the bar using the Motopump mount, together with a Touratech locking mount and a sunshade. It's a little heavy looking, but it has held up well so far even over rough roads.
