I will be 57 in a few days. I grew up riding dirt bikes. Harleys were my rides for 30 years and got my first 2013 Tenere in 2015. I just traded the 13 in for a barely used 2014 ES with almost every imaginable aftermarket goodie. I wish I had not wasted so many years riding a cruiser. I love to camp out and explore the backroads, I would never be able to do on the Harley. I live in Arizona and have done parts of the Arizona Backcouny discovery Route.

I got this message from Tap/Talk from holligl '' What part of AZ? We just bought a winter place in Mountain Brook Village. I plan to bring my S10 '' I cannot return this message on PM as I am currently at Sea. If you are out there holligl here is my reply:
Welcome to Arizona . I live in Sierra Vista Arizona. It is about 75 miles SE of Tucson. A few weeks ago I rode right by Mountain Brook on my way up to Globe. I am currently on my fishing ship up in the Bearing Sea. I work 2 months on and then 2 months off. I hope to be home the middle of November. Let me know when you will be riding. You can contact me directly if you would like at jpalbee@gmail.com. Thanks for the message, John

I'm 29, and have been riding since I was 8. Would have gotten a S10 when they first came out, but I was still post-college broke at the time.

I hate to divulge my age....but I can tell you this: If you cut me in half, you'd be counting a lot of rings.

Perusing this thread does tell me one thing though: Yamaha should hand out an AARP membership when they give you the keys to the bike.

Bahahaaaa!! I think most, like myself, already had their card. I'm thinking that Yamaha should have given us the AARP discount though. :D

You already have a Tenere, and some of the best roads in Texas to use it on. How much more style do you need? ;) (yes, I am jealous of your roads, and I love Kerrville)

I was 65 in September and I rode my first motorcycle when I was 12. It was a plunger framed BSA Bantam, a 125cc single cylinder two-stroke with a 3 speed gearbox. I went on to race. Norton Commando and when road racing became too expensive with the TD Yamahas coming on stream, I rode a Bultaco 250cc in trials but then rode a Bultaco Frontera 250 in Enduros. Since then I have just ridden an assortment of road bikes with the Super Ten being the latest.
