I was 29 when I purchased my first new motorcycle, 2015 S10 ES. Just sold my house and was the first thing I did was buy the bike. I am 35 now.
I am a young 50.5 years old. I started with 4 wheelers when I was 15. Then transitioned to bicycles when I was 35. After 15 years of bicycles, I switched to motorcycles. And here I am.
Another two late bloomers. I always thought you were born a motorcycle person, or you weren't. Wrong again.

I don't think I ever posted to this thread. I am 75 and will be 76 in 4 months. Been riding since 1959 and have had a few bikes. Honda 50, Honda 750, Yamaha 850 TDM, Kawasaki Vulcan, just to name a few of the ones I really liked. I am down to a KDX 200 dirt bike and my ST 1200. I love the bike when its moving, have to be really careful with it when it is not. Can't pick it up if it falls over. Likely going to sell it soon and get something a little lighter and lower.

30 years old. Started riding in 2017 with no previous riding experience. My brother let me take his bike out before the motorcycle test (almost dropped it - RNine T). Before that little ride I had maybe sat on one once or twice.

34. Had a 2012 for 1.5 years.

And I love this bike. It just does everything. Most of my riding miles have been on a GSXR 750 and of course it's fun. I have a Wide Glide that is kinda fun, I guess.

But the Tenere. It just does everything well enough. Sporty enough, aftermarket cruise control and seats for touring. More lights for safety. I've done 700 mile days on this thing easy. Did the Idaho BDR on this thing. Done 260 miles in dirt one day. Reliable. Drive shaft(no chain to mess with). Comfortable. On road, off road, utility. It just does it all.

Perfect road trip bike no matter where you want to go or what you want to do. And that's the best riding you can do in my opinion. Other than maybe a good track day. However I can see getting a KTM 890 for for BDR riding.
