Both of are big people, it is VERY uncomfortable to be on a bike together. She has her own bike, an '82 Suzuki GS850. She says I bought the Super Tenere on purpose so she can't ride it, she likes to be able to put both feet on the ground! :D
Is it very uncomfortable because of your wife? Does everyone else have the same problems, or are there also positive experiences (just to rule out if the wife is the problem or the bike..)

65 here. Have had the Super 10 for 18 months. It was a used '16 ES with 7K miles. It's got 12K miles on it now. The Super Ten almost perfectly scratches an itch that I got back when I was 20. I had started motorcycle camping then, but I missed being able to explore the backcountry like I did on my old Bighorn 350. But the Bighorn couldn't cover the miles like my Kaw 500 Mk III or even my Honda Hawk 400. There was always a huge compromise. Yeah, the Super Ten is still a compromise in the really rough stuff - but it'll take you to backcountry anywhere in the world, over thousands of miles, and bring you back.

I'm large, but my wife is normal human sized. With the two of us on the bike, we're at max capacity. The bike doesn't care a bit. I crank up the preload, and off we go. Even in the curves/corners the bike handles well with both of us on it.

It makes it slightly uncomfortable for both of us. We can’t ride long days together. So now it’s less km’s a day and more short stops for seightseeing. The bike doesn’t care at all loaded and 2 up.

Thanks Rob! We already got the Touratech seats, see if I can move the topbox, she likes that backrest! She’s just like me 1,85m. Got a link or photo of the pegs?

72 next month. Riding and caring for 3 bikes now, the SuperT, and nice Triumph Trophy 800 and a Yamaha Virago / Dniepr sidecar rig. 18 months ago I took the SuperT on an Iron Butt ride to visit my son in Denver - 1500 miles in 35 hours. Bike was perfect - comfortable and reliable.

There just ain't enough room on a motorcycle for the two of us. Plus, I don't like it when she starts beating on my back when I'm wheelieing my '82 Suzuki GS1100 when she's on the back. :p
