46 and have had my new old stock 2019 for 8 months now. It’s a tad painful to view all the data posted by other riders as it confirms my wife’s statement when I bought the bike...”you’ve joined the old mans club now”. Lol. Im young at heart and bought the bike because my head and heart saw eye to eye and knew it was the right bike.
There are actually 3 ages: chronological age, physical age and mental age.

It just shows you're a smart rider. I have one kid that got his FJR when he was 20. Sales guy said he was the worlds youngest FJR rider. On the other hand, my other kid bought an R6.

I'm 34, I really don't get the older stigma with ADV bikes. I understand from a comfort and touring aspect that makes a bit of sense. But the off-road exploration part I feel like should appeal to more younger people.

65 yo. 2014 ST. I have had motorcycles all my adult life. This bike is comfortable for my body size. I am 6ft and 220 lb. Sargent seat, pensky suspension, ecu reflashed, alt rider crash bars/yamaha bash plate. This is my second ST. Didn't like my Road King. Liked my Goldwing but bad timing with my family (kids little), but great road bike. The ST fits what I want in a M/C at this time.
Reguards from a cold North Dallas. 10 degrees and snow today.

Gainesville is w-a-a-a-a-y North (of) Dallas. :D I just about two hours to the south. Yeah, we're 10F with sideways snow. I'm having flashbacks to New Hampshire.

63, riding since I was 6 years old (thanks to understanding parents).
Over 57 years tried most everything on two wheels but as can be seen in my profile, prefer "ADV" bikes now during the grey hair phase of my life.
T12 is my favorite "do it all" bike of all times.

I would have bought another Super Tenere, but I'm 70 and I have arthritis, particularly in my left hand. After a long day of riding, the clutching really sets my hand on fire...so here I am back to an Africa twin in the DCT model.
Yamaha must up the game and offer an adventure bike in a DCT.

The new Honda AT is a great bike! Both my son and one of my regular riding buddies ride them.
I just get a kick out of the time it takes to "log in and hook up" the phone and intercom to the digital dash and if need be, select a different riding mode.
As I wrote in another post, by the time they are ready to ride, the old fart on his Teneresaurus is long gone!
Enjoy your DCT (I have it on my X-ADV). More than one knee bender on 1000 cc sport bike has been left behind between traffic lights due to the seamless acceleration.
Still partial to shaft drive so unless Yamaha get brave and offer a shiftless alternative, the T12 is the go to for long travel.

Yup, Super Ten is a great bike...I will certainly miss the shaft drive.
Maybe Honda will offer the Africa Twin with a shaft one day.
As we all get older, we like our comforts.

59 in may this year, just new here, coming from a Pan European ST1300.
Because I always believed that growing up is a trap, I wanted the XT1200.
I think it is a playful Beast. My wife can’t wait to get on the back of it.
See where it takes us....

Karen can't ride anymore due to back problems but loved to ride together. We did a lot of long days.

Karen wanted just two changes. She wanted the seat flatter, and no matter what we rode she wanted her Airhawk. I made a spacer to flatten the rear seat, which she said hit the mark.

I later put on a Seat Concept recover kit that minimized her requests for the Airhawk.
