people got better deals if they paid their 500 deposit and waited since the dealers had zero invested and knew they just had to collect the balance once the bikes arrived, if you were one of those who wanted to wait til they came you probably paid a little more and if your looking for one today you will probably have to pay near retail since there seems to be only a few left out there ;)

Does your poll reflect the OTD price? or does it include tax and title, which technically is not part of the OTD price, but rather fees paid to your local government. Maybe your annual insurance cost for the first year should be included, as well, since the bike is useless if you can't actually ride it. My insurance is lower because my bike is black instead of blue, too. OOPS, I forgot gas and maintenance.

Paul

I'm just in a mood to have a little fun :))

I paid $12,500 OTD and there's no choice in the poll that comes near that.

my math has never been great but I'm guessing the "i paid less then 13500" probably covered it ::008::

That's what got my vote, but it really has too much spread to give a true report. I suspect that about 50 of us are in that price range.

Actually, I think this type of thread is sorta stupid, like oil and gas mileage threads. That's why I'm being a little irreverent ;)

I paid less than full retail...more than the other options......guess the genius who created the poll didn't account for that. 8)

Paid way less than it's worth. A 2010 R1200 GS I was looking at comparably equipped was $16100!

Good gosh man. You should have received a free tube of K-Y Jelly with that. ::025:: Mine was $11,999 plus $90 DOC fee. TT &T $474 . I think all my farkles ($2300-2400) don't add up to what you paid. I'm glad I don't live in Kalifornistan.

Nope, I paid the dealer $13900. That included sales tax, TTL, dealer BS fees (trans, set up, inspection) etc. Here is TX the dealer submits everything for you. The license plate comes in the mail and you don't even have to go to the DMV or deal with anyone other than the dealer. I only had to pay the DMV $1.20 for my PH plate because the dealer can't do those. I paid extra for the YES plan and accessories.

bike 12460
trans 400
assembly 160
documentary fee 50
vehicle tax (for state) 800
Title, Inspection 100

total 13900 (all numbers are xxxish)
Hope this helps
