I don't know how many miles i have ridden this year. I have not got the opportunity to take any long trips so all of my riding has been commuting and errands. I have had a couple days this year for joy riding. So I am guessing between 8000 and 10000 miles this year. I will have to check my service records sometime and just see what it is. Great pictures from all the others though. I really enjoy seeing those.

Super 10: 1,300 miles. More were planned, but my wife wanted to go to mountain bike camp the week i was going to "ride around montana," so that ride was reduced to a weekend of riding about 90 MPH around the state to see how much i could see in a weekend. one 600 mile day, and one 700 mile day. I like this bike.

KTM 690 Duke: 500 miles.

Daughter's SV650: 200 miles.

GasGas EC300: 10 days of riding, including one day in Moab last week. That's the most I've ridden that bike in 5 years. Lost one of my two jobs due to the 'Rona and REALLY bad management, so i had time to ride it. Super fun. I am going to ride more dirt next year.

I did drive 2,000 miles in the truck to pick up and deliver a honda rebel 250 which I had sold to my brother and bought back to give to the ICU nurse who looked after my daughter. The nurse had just earned her license, and was looking for a bike. My brother was going to trade it in on a KTM TPI XC 300, but when my wife heard that, she said, "we're buying it back and giving it to the nurse." Does this mileage count? :)

This year has been a good motorcycle year for me. Bought the S10 in February of 2020 with 6,154 miles on it. Currently close to 22,000 with some time left for short rides before the new year rolls around.
Normal life requires continual travel for work but the changes allowed me to work from the laptop on the bike.

I feel lucky and blessed to take some of these trips (thought they would have to wait until retirement - currently 30 years old). Allot of people have had much worse years and I’m lucky to not only have a job but also not have anyone negatively affected by the virus.

Longest toilet paper trip - Florida to Arizona
Ha ha, I can't stop laughing...did you have enough sh*t roll? Thanks for sharing these great pictures

Since I picked it up in March of 2020 I've ridden 27,600 kms, mostly evening and weekends. 5 oil changes, 3 sets of tires and a set of brake pads later I am still amazed at how fun this motorcycle is to ride. I was hesitant spending "car money" on a motorcycle but the S10 has been worth every penny.

Hey Mike,
Pleased to hear you are enjoying your Super Tenere...I put around 25K on mine this season, but traded it in for a new 2020 Africa Twin DCT.
My arthritis is killing me from all that clutching, hence the DCT..
I also put around 2,000 km on my Zuki DR650 as well.

I logged about 5,000 miles between june and now.

Considering i am working full time, and raising a 15 month old with my wife while basically locked in our apt for a year...i am honestly shocked and i feel blessed to have been able to log these miles. All that matters to me is the health and safety of my family, so I cannot curse 2020 that much.

Some highlights:

Those photos look amazing. Seriously envious of that scenery what with being stuck in flat ol' Florida.

Despite travel restrictions I've managed to do little over 25.000 km on the T12 this year.
Longest ride was a 5.000 km trip around Denmark in the spring during lockdown (domestic travel was allowed).
Didn't use the cars much this year, as the weather have been great all season (except July).
In the fall I did a weeks ride to Poland/Czech/Slovakia with a couple of my riding Buddys.

just shy of 10,000 miles. bought the bike in the beginning of august. I put about 3k on my R100GS before selling it as well. (no, airheads are not reliable by modern standards. I'm glad i had that bike, but i don't miss it)

anyway- that includes a trip from northern CO to yellowstone, spokane, port townsend, medford OR, lake tahoe, then back through nevada and utah. about 3500 miles there. I was unemployed, so i got big miles in on a day to day basis. had this 250 mile rip i'd take to go hike a couple times a week...

Lol My wife was working out in Arizona and couldn’t find any. Wanted to make the trip out there on the bike and had to find a way to bring it along.

My yearly average was down this year I am at 8179 miles between the Tenere and the Concours. Made one overnight trip, week long ride thru New Mexico and Colorado then home via Big Bend area of Texas. Since I retired I do not commute anymore just leisure rides.

Well after spending the morning out plowing snow it appears my current mile total will stand for the rest of the year.
Tenere Miles = 38,080
All my bikes with odometers = 39,019
I wish I knew how many miles of MX laps I put in a year. probably around 1,000 miles.

What broke? Doesn't sound like a S10!

Bummer. Good luck. Keep us informed. That is a bunch of miles.
