How many miles did you ride your Tenere in the Pandemic 2020 year?

Thank you Sir. I have a lot of great memories of places I've been and looking forward to many more in the future. This year just did not pan out for me. I have no ill feelings toward others that want to enjoy themselves during the pandemic.

For myself this means no riding and keeping the public and my loved ones safe as possible by reducing risks. Something as simple as a broken leg could mean a hospital bed unavailable to someone in need. Going without riding for a while is not a big deal.

2 tours, one to Morocco, the other through France and Spain has meant that the S10 has only covered 3000 mainly local miles....I think my longest trip was to the S10 meeting at the Pondersosa Cafe in N Wales

I'm retired and can ride when I want but with all the restrictions in the UK only managed about another 4000 local miles on my other bikes, so about 7k in total.

Usual annual mileage about 13-15k so about half my normal annual mileage

So I’m a bit confused Chris. Either you are not telling the truth about riding, or your line about staying home to keep others safe Which is it?
That was my stationary bicycle at home. Doing Physical Therapy as prescribed by my doctor.

Tenere - 3,176 (pathetic)
DR650 - 450 (just sad)
KTM 690 - 2,430 (ok)
KTM SAS - 6,178 (purchased end of July- obsession)

Not an awful number of miles, but pretty much went no where in 2020. Probably got no farther than 500 miles from home.

Steve - you didn't follow your own instructions! Curious what a slow year looks like for you!

I really didn't want to make anyone mad at me for riding to much.
Lets just say , if my bike averages 45 MPG that I used 830.755555 gallons.
I will put up some pictures though.

Well, I'm in Ontario Canada....not totally locked down as they say.
I clocked approximately 25,000 km on my Super Tenere in 2020 along with 1,500 km on my DR650. Sorry neighbours, er neighbors, y'all gonna have to learn how the rest of the world measures distances...I know that I will likely get a little blow back here...
Not out to set any records, grateful to live in a relatively unpopulated area...just use your head, pack a padkos er...lunch along with a thermos of cohee and make it work..
The vaccine has arrived ...let's all work together and hope for a better future.

Lock downs (mostly) plus work projects definitely had a negative impact on riding in 2020. Lots of local trips around the 'hood, which isn't all that bad! One bigger trip is all. Took the FJR to Red Lodge MT. to meet a group of like-minded hooligans...fun week via Lolo Pass, Yellowstone and Bear Tooth. In September the Tenere went to the Reuben Run for our annual trip to Oregon to enjoy some deserted twisty roads. Total for the year, 11,572 miles.
Tenere - 6370
FJR - 5202

Believe me this was on my mind.

I did do a lot of solo rides, paying at the pump for gas and bringing lunch from home. I did always wonder if i had a bad accident...that would mean contact for sure.

I kept it really calm with my riding off pavement, just had one zero damage drop from trying to pull a tight uturn on a muddy hill.

It all worked out fine, i had zero contact except with my riding buddy via intercom.

4500 on the Super Tenere, 1700 on the Goldwing. 6200 miles total. I've done 1700 miles on the goldwing in a single day a few years back. Seems foolish to travel now in my opinion any more than necessary, and even if not foolish, the fun of it is pretty much gone.

2500 miles on the S10, 600 on the KLX250. This was caused by two things: living in a province that has very tight border restrictions (if you leave for a non-essential reason, you need to isolate for 14 days on reentry-so far this has worked well, 500ish cases, 9 deaths), and working in the emergency management field, after a 15 hour work day, there is no fizz left for a ride...
