So what’s your forum name mean and why did you choose it?
I will get the nuggets rolling....
Name is Ron and I am a drummer and big John Bonham (Bonzo) fan...
...hence....Ronzo.

My initials are RC and I live in North Carolina. I guess my muse was taking the day off when I came up with my forum name.

Early days of the internet was the home of the nerd so a nerdy name was needed for forums. My usual nerdy name was already being used on here, so I used my back up nerd name.

Neither are my actual name.

I created the Dirt_Dad name around the same time this photo was taken in 2002.

I've used that name ever since on countless motorcycle boards. Generated a unique moment when another DirtDad on ADV purchased some farkle I was selling. He'd been around even longer than me. I wished him safe riding from one DD to another.

When the forum had just started I signed up. At that point in time (I have forgotten the details) you had to wait till the moderator ‘accepted’ you or something. I signed up, and after a week I was never acknowledged. I reached out to a moderator and they could not find my first sign up name, info, etc. I was informed I will have to sign up again. I tried to sign up with the same name as the first time and it would never work. I reached back out to a moderator (after another week or so screwing with all this). They reached back out and said, you need to pick a new name.
By this time signing up I was over it and was about to just blow it all off. When I had to pick a new name I hade some Tabasco chocolate on my desk. I was frustrated with this forum sign up and said, screw it “TABASCO” will work to get going on this stupid thing. I figured I would change it..... LOL. Obviously never ended up touching it. LOL
I’ve now run into many other Tenere riders around the country. I walk up and start talking and discussing the bike. Inevitably someone says ‘my name is’ and we keep talking. No one knows my real name, they don’t care. I ask if they know TABASCO on the forum? 95% say YES. I’ve seen the name, I know that guy,Etc. I then say, hello “I’m TABASCO”. LOL. Almost all the time there face lights up. LOL
Most of the time that starts another conversation out in another parking lot. LOL. Always in good fun, talking about a bike we all love.
That’s my little story. :)

Mine is reference to an old motorbike my dad had with the same size strike as the bore. He said it was a squarebore.

A square engine has equal bore and stroke dimensions, giving a bore/stroke value of exactly 1:1. An engine is described as oversquare or short-stroke if its cylinders have a greater bore diameter than its stroke length, giving a bore/stroke ratio greater than 1:1.
