Maybe it's been mentioned here before, but Himalaya Calling is a worth watching travel series (4 part) about two guys riding S-10s on a 6 month trip.
Yes it was mentioned in one of the generic threads previously. The 4 episodes are good, I liked the first 2 episodes better than the last 2.

It's a pretty good Doc. I've seen some of Erik's other ride videos and they are well done. He's pretty good with setting up shots and drone footage. I liked the fact that it was 2 guys by themselves and not a group with a full support team.

Binge watched this at the weekend and really enjoyed it. Lots of Super Tenere shots and the bit that no-one outside of this forum will bother to notice is just how reliable the bikes were. Puncture? Can happen to anyone. Rock in the oil filter? Well...erm...OK it's in a dodgy place on the engine, but other than that it was a solid bit of PR that Yamaha should jump on as it is a real world example of two regular showroom bikes that walked the walk without a complaint.

Yes....if he hit the rock hit hard enough to bend the skid plate, that is a pretty good impact...something has to give.
I was very impressed with Erik's ability fix/seal the oil filter!
I rode into Mexico with 3 others and had a very similar problem, but we could not get the filter to seal, and the guy didn't bring a spare, it ended his trip.

I saw the first episode last night. It's a pretty well done travel documentary w/ motorbike and S10 content. Very impressed with what they were able to do as they went along, maintaining a focus on production despite challenges. Looking forward to the remaining episodes.

I dunno. I like to see "real world" 40 person backup teams, in Land Rovers, in-the-field replacement of everything complete with airdrops of new bikes every 50 kilometers. I'm just in awe of the organisational side of it all... The "Long Delay Down" :D
