Wow, that is a lot for it's age. eemsreno has one that has about double that, but his is older. Definitely not collecting dust.

My buddies bike has the same amount. Still works like a top. We are currently crossing the US the long way. I’ve worked on bikes with 150-180K miles. My buddy wants to put on 200K minimum. He is looking for 250K+

For European standards that is serieus milage, our US members might consider differently. But it wouldn't scare me from buying it, when regular maintance has been performed.

That's a lot of miles, in the UK a dealer would have a heart attack if you wanted to trade it in. I was gonna trade in a 3 year old fireblade with 14k miles a few years ago the dealer said he would never sell it after offering me a ridiclously low value.

When my bought from new 2000 Africa Twin reached 130,000 miles I replaced it with another secondhand 2000 model with only 20,000 miles on it. The lower mileage bike was the same colour. I stripped all the bodywork and wheels off of the high mileager and stored them away as spares and sold the frame and engine to a man who collected it in the back of his estate car. That was in about 2006.

In 2010 the second Africa Twin had gotten up to 105,000 miles and the generator went. Replacement was expensive and the pattern parts had gained a reputation for being a bit ropey. The bike then sat there at the side of the garage until this spring when it was in the way of a reorganisation and a new bike ramp. I stuck a few pictures on one of the forums and someone bought it as a non runner with the spares from the first bike for £750. I had originally intended to give it way for free, so it was a bit of a result.

Did you still have the OE seat. The OE seat on mine was horrible for time/distance. Had it redone with gel. It was much better, but still not good enough for me to go cross country.
