I thought the yellow was the high beam trigger wire but my rigid light
bar comes on with low beam instead of high ::010::

I've been thinking , does the trigger have to be positioned a certain way to work ?
Right now its upside down just dangling there while I test things out .

Not sure what you mean - if you can snap some pics of what's all going on i'll be checking in frequently over the next half hour to hour...

If you're referring to the relay, it doesn't care what position it is in. The yellow wire from the clutch side switch cluster IS the one you want to trigger the relay. There should be some slack in the bundle from that switch cluster so you can wiggle it to identify the correct one under the right side cover.

If you follow the wires back from the headlight, you will find a blue and a pink. The blue is hot for the bulbs and the pink is hot for the high beam, or in this case the solenoid that moves the shutter. There is also a ground wire.

Good news is that I switched wires around and light comes on with high beam but accessory switch doesn't work
but worse now my FZ1 power block does not turn off switched accessories any more ::010:: had to unhook
power to FZ1 .

+1. I wired my Skene dimmer unit to the pink for the high beam trigger, works great.

+1 on this, I identified the yellow wire with the FSM, but it was not hot with the high beam on. The pink wire tested out with the DMM and I used that to trigger my Cyclops aux lights, which rocked the NV desert night last night and this early morning. Those 10 degree spots throw a lot of light, a long ways. You can only go as fast as you can see, and these allow you to go faster than you probably should! ::013::

Resurrecting an older thread...I'm installing a set of LED driving lights using a Skene controller. I understand I need to tap the pink wire for the high beam trigger.

Where have y'all been tapping the pink wire at? Looking at mounting the Skene + relay in the forward section of RH cover for proximity to lights and power.

TIA

Escape, it is upper right side near junction cluster where the turn signal connectors bunch together under the rubber boot. As others have said, it is a pink wire.

Do you mean where is the pink wire? Or are you asking where on the wire do you tap into it?

If you follow lights bak from your headlights you should be able to locate the pink wire. As far as where to tap into it, just use a posi tap or some similar tap and just attach it right in the middle of the wire, or wherever you have enough room to work.

Thanks Jeff, exactly what I was looking for. I've got a good supply of positaps plus those that came with the Skene. Figured I could tap it up front...I'll look for the rubber boot and TS connectors.

Installing a Rigid Industries light bar, and not confident with these electrical projects. Just to be sure, is this the Location and Pink Wire I need?
