Hello everyone.. I want to get a (used) bike.

I was leaning towards a R1200GS but then I'm seeing that the repairs, when needed can be spendy. Specifically, the ABS on the oil head generation bikes seems to fail pretty often and is not practicably repairable or if it is $1000 or so. Then on the newer water cooled bikes, the cams can fail unexpectedly ($4000). From what I have read so far, the Super Tenere 1200 seems to be easier on the repairs with the exception of the valve adjustment which was designed by a lobbyist for the dealer network or something. Anyway, I'm here mostly to lurk and read for now. I have ridden the BMW but not the Tenere yet.
