'Been toying with picking up a super for a while and just lately tripped over what could be *the one* so thought I better join up and finish my research before pulling the trigger - been riding everything from yamaha xt 100 to VTX1800 over the past 46 years - presently on a 2004 ST1300 and 2007 HD Deuce - thinking of replacing the ST with the tenere - have a bunch of fairly hardcore wheeling years behind me and while I'm not in the physical shape for the tuff stuff anymore, I do miss the fresh air and greenery that is backroads :)

Welcome from Texas. My opinion. . . . go for a Gen 2 ES ('14 and newer). I have a '17 ES. . . . favorite bike ever.

Welcome from Mexico, I do have a 2013 gen 1 and I just love it, a 2014 or newer will be better due to the improvements even I do not have any problem with my Gen 1! it is a great bike!

Good choice - welcome to the group, from far away lockdown UK.

We have relatives who moved to Victoria BC only last year, dare I say for their retirement, after years working near Kamloops. Seems you have a great climate across on the west coast.
