I live in central/ south central Iowa and have searched this forum for a long time but never posted. I have really appreciated all the advice, recommendations and support that is provided here. It has definitely helped me with my bike and any questions I have had… as well as a laugh or two. I have a 2017 S 10 ES that I bought new in 2018. To date, I just cranked over 27,000 mi with no major issues. A valve stem that was defective, a puncture wound and a dead batt have been the only times I’ve been stranded, knock on wood. I primarily ride hwy and rock roads with the occasional foray into the field and timber but no real technical trails yet…maybe one of these days. My tenere has become my daily driver as well as my weekend get away. I am super pragmatic with things I purchase. Everything in my mind has a place and purpose and work when I need it to, from my Stijl chainsaw to my Toyota truck and my Tenere. To that end, I absolutely love having my Tenere!!! Dependable, built like a tank, always asking for more …and other than a few things, ready to wear out of the box. Will ride this bike to the end of its life and never bat an eye, even when someone asks”Hey, who’s got the BMW out there”.
