Just fitting (trying to fit) winglets to a 2014 tenere. Following the instructions I believe this is the correct way to fit them. The problem is the screen can now only be used in the top two positions. The winglet is now in the way so the screen bracket can't slide down any further.
Where have I gone wrong?
cheers

Richard

gv550 is spot on. They sold you the wrong parts. They fit 2010-2013 bikes.

That said, I run Gen I Yamaha winglets on my 2015. However, I didn't like the adjustable windscreen set up, (used bike, came with a MadStad bracket and massive screen), so I mounted up my Gen I winglets, ordered the small black plastic center bit for the Gen I bike and it all works fine with a Gen I windscreen.

So, yes, they bolt up, but as you see, limit the windscreen adjuster's movement. You might be able to space out the front to give room for the screen adjuster bracket, BUT, that also might push the winglet out against the windscreen causing interference.

Best to just get the correct winglets and keep it simple. Hopefully the seller will accept a return/exchange.

I used my Gen 1 winglets on my Gen 2 as would not get anything from the P/X, just used a Dremel to cut away a slot for the screen adjuster.

The 2nd generation winglets are 10.5 inches long and don’t use the front mounting screw anymore . I used one of those air powered cutoff tools designed for cutting steel to shorten mine and it worked great.
