hi guys,

i have a chance of a new heated right grip that says its a gen 2 grip only, but the picture of the grey plug on the end of it is the same grey plug on my gen1 oem heated grips,
the seller measure the ohms of the new grip at 1.5 he thinks if my gen 1 left grip is 1.5 ohms then this gen 2 new right grip whitch has the same grey plug on it should work on a gen1

any help thoughts guys

If the ohms are the same I'd say go for it. Even if there was a difference in the plugs you could always solder on the correct one.

I read the heated grip threads, most views are that the gen 2 grips will not work on a gen 1 as tou need the clocks to works the gen 2 grips
but if you have a gen 1, with the controller on the bars and a grip fails if you plug the gen 2 grip in it,ll work off the gen 1 controller i thought

also am i wrong in thinking if gen 2 heated grips are 1.5 ohms is there any reason why gen 1 would not be the same
