HELP oem handguard fitting

Hi guys,

i have touratech hand guards fitted at the mo been on awhile, but the oem standard guards that i can fit back on in the winter as i have a great pair
of hand muffs that fit standard guards.

now i can see the one large bolt goes through the bar weight, and at the other end the top bracket has a hole for the mirror to go through, can i ask the bottom small bracket
where does that fit to

Hi Rob, I believe the bottom bracket attaches under the clutch and brake levers onto the end of their pivots. I tried to take a picture but there was not enough light in my garage.

That's correct, I took my guards off last week to remove the levers to grease the pivots.

do you just remove those clutch and brake pivot bolts put the bracket there and use the same bolt

Yes.

Note that the right mirror is LEFT HAND THREADED!

I about snapped mine clean off until i learned this. Its done to prevent the mirror from snapping off on a right hand drop.
