Yes you did, and I am very thankful for your kind offer. People like you is what make this place great to be.
Written communication can be misinterpreted easily so I’ll just ask: do you feel i did something wrong/else then expected/I disappointed you?

Regards,
Stefan.

Let us know when you are heading this way, there are a few of us S10 owners in South Wales who would be happy to meet up and maybe show you some good places to ride and visit.
Not about tools, but may need some help/advice from UK members, as the title of this topic suggests. .
Preparing my trip now for the upcoming spring and I will need new tires by then. Now someone told me that asphalt roads in Brittain seem to be more rough than at the continent and that I therefor would need tires adapted to those conditions. I won't be doing a lot of off raod, and if I do it'll be gravel, so no need for off road tires really. Most will be those "long and winding roads" :)
I know there can be endless discussions about tires, but this road condition is new to me.
Thinking of BT023 's right now, but open to better (?) options.

Don’t stress over tyres for UK use. Whatever works in Europe will be fine here. I’ve done numerous tours across lots of Europe on my Super Tenere and my tyres work and last as well, wherever I am. Personally I use Metzeler Tourance Next.

Why the change? I'm still in search of my "forever" tire.

the michelin were great grippy tyres best i,ve had to be honest but didn,t get much mileage and at £265 a pair looking for better mileage,
to lads i spoke to recently had the conti trail attack 3 after michelin and said they warm up quick great grippy tyre but got 2-3000 miles more
out of them

That sound like what I'm looking for too. My FJR kid switched from the Pirelli Angels to the Michelins for the same reasons. I'll tell him about the Contis as well. Thank you.

Hello with yet another question:
I'll be leaving for South of England, Wales and Lake district beginning of april. Now I understand the Easter Holidays run from 11th april until 22th. I wonder what effect this has on campings. Will they be crowded or would it still be possible to just arrive and find a place for a bike and tent without reservation?

BTW: I 've put BT023 's around my wheels. They should do the job.

It took a while since I last posted something here, but I finally landed in UK last week. Now in the south of England (Tintagel), will arrive in Wales coming wednesday (april 13th). I'm planning to visit Brecon Beacons Park and Snowdonia between 15th and 19t h april. Would be nice to meet up with some of you at some point, to have a cup of tea or, even better, a pint. :)
