Help identifying bar risers

Hi All,
When I purchased my S10 it came with these bar risers installed. I am noticing that there is some play in the handle bars and think the bushings need to be replaced. Does anyone recognize these risers? I don't see any name stamped on them.

Has anyone replaced the bushings on their S10? I have been looking in the service manual but only see a washer under the bolt. Any help would be appreciated.

Best

Hey,

Do you mean you feel it having some play in the area I marked below?

As far as I know that is supposed to be, I see it on a lot of bikes. It functions like a damper.

Regards,
Stefan.

Yes there is a bit of play. When I got the MOT done at the Yamaha dealer he said the bushings would need to be replaced soon. I just hit 36k on the bike. I have noticed that there is a bit more of a vibration the last thousand miles. Was thinking this could be the reason. Thanks for your reply.

Are there any after market dampeners that work better than the stock? I’m very happy with the bike but sometimes get a bit fatigued in my throttle hand.

I get that with every bike i have owned, even my last 2 FJRs. Have to remind myself every time to relax the grip a bit

They're bushing pressed into the upper clamp, not easily replaced. If you want less wiggle you can add washers to one side or both. You can take the risers out and lessen the leverage on the bushings as well. Folks that have even higher risers have a huge amount of flex. They've gone with washers because the improved ergonomics is better that less perceived vibe.

Heres my idea..... I have previously had those same riser blocks from Turkey....& installed extra washers between the upper fork clamp & stock risers to lessen the flex.

But I wanted to move the bars back justa bit....not higher though.....so....

A set of V Strom risers (much shorter) & a set of 2" Rox type pivoting risers did the trick. I used the Strom risers (7/8" bar) because they had bolts which were the same length as the Teneres stock risers.
The Rox style risers came with adapters for 7/8" or 1 1/8" to be used either on bike side stubs or bar clamps. I didnt need them since the Strom risers were 7/8" & Tenere bars are 1 1/8"
The whole setup is appx same height as stock with Turkish riser blocks.
I kept the xtra washers underneath too.
Works great....but check your tankbag to bar clearance with the bars moved back.
