Hello Caveman ... Tasmania .... 8) welcome to the forum. I've put 600 miles on mine. Just waiting to book it in for the first service and getting the crash bars fitted.

Thanks for the welcome, I cant wait until first service and then being able to see what the performance is really like. The first few rides showed potential but once its loosened up a bit I think it will impress. Have ordered panniers, sump guard and pipe and will put them on during first service.

Oh! I thought that they all came with the panniers and sump guard. In the UK it's called the 'First Edition' and comes with the panniers, headlight protector, alloy sump guard etc.

No first editions came to Tasmania, pretty sure they were Europe only.
Here we just got the standard no frills version and access to all the goodies as extras. Pricing here is substantially less than the BMW, even if you buy all the available extras you still have substatial change left.

Less expensive than a comparable BMW. Whoa! that's not the case over here ... yet. I am told that BMW prices will leap at the end of the year though. I've had two beemer owners now tell me that they prefer the look of the XT1200Z. Don't want it getting too popular though ..... I like the exclusivity : ;D
