Hello everyone, I picked up my new Super 10 XT1200Z in early March and have had a little bit of time to get to know it, but sadly not yet enough for the 1st service to release a few more RPMs.
Its my second Yamaha since ~35 years when I had an XS250....mostly Triumphs since then.
So far absolutely delighted - having done about 500 miles on a few local trips before the lockdown.
I bought it with the Yamaha cases & TB, heated grips (Oxford not Yam ones because I wanted a separate button to press not a menu) and have fitted a Pyramid rear hugger (after I noticed how much crud gets under the bike), a Delkovic exhaust (because I wanted to hear its voice) and have a fender extender to glue in when I find that tube of Sikaflex....

Welcome from sunny Bedfordshire - I don't know about you, but I am getting bored with lockdown during this spell of fair weather.

Whilst I bought my S10 from Laguna at Maidstone, Chorley Yamaha did me a great deal on a new FJR a few years back - a long trek for us, but well worth it. When you have a moment perhaps you can tell us about your biking history.

Tamworth Yamaha did me a great deal on the Niken but couldn’t touch the Tenere deal I got. Shame as I like a Ashley and his Dad but liquid cash is important right now.

Hi All and thankyou for the kind welcome messages. Just a quick update - I have been really enjoying my S10 - it gets better and better every ride out - and much more enjoyable after the 1k miles run in was passed :)

Oops! missed half the post
Yamaha XS250 project / field bike
Honda Transalp '96 - First bike after passing test - lovely bike but very limited in the braking department. I think the later ones benefitted from twin discs up front.
BMWR1100S 2000 - Lovely when it ran - most unreliable bike ever - didn't like to start hot and when it did run used to jump out of gear 1/2 way round a bend. Put me right off BMW bikes.
Honda VFR750 F 1988 - Bought as a winter hack - actually very nice early one with the 16" front wheel - talk about sharp turn in!
Triumph Daytona 900 '96 (still got this one) - I just love this bike, having a bit of a makeover at the moment since the blind Hyundai driver incident.
Triumph Daytona 955i 2003 - I owned this '03 - 2013 - hard to beat for a fast road bike.
Triumph Thruxton R '16 - beautiful bike - but no so comfy for touring duties......would loved to have kept it but there is a limit :)....hence.......
.. finally Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere
