I'm new to the adventure bike side of riding and finally narrowed my search down to a 14-18 Tenere for a ride to Alaska in June. I picked these years due to the minor improvements and most importantly the cruise control that is available on the 14 and up. If all goes well , I will be picking up a 2015es in a few days...Can't wait !

Hope everything works out for you Traveler !
Bought my previous 13 for about the same reason, a ride to Prudehoe Bay Alaska , plan was to sell it when I got home but Surprisingly liked it more than I was expecting so kept it for 50,000 miles Then traded for 2018 ES, mainly to get cruise control but it also has a lot of other very nice improvements, expensive trade but I’m happy.

Welcome Traveler. I also live in east Pa. I did the same thing in 2016, bought a new 2015. Went Prudehoe Bay June of 2017. Went to Alaska in 2012 on an HD. More fun on the Tenere. Did a lot more dirt. Good luck, hope all goes well.

Many great roads in Pa. , Many up north and down south. Rt 6 and Rt 30 are two favorites along with 219 and 15.

, Going to a Tenere after 18 Harleys is going to be quite a change. My last Yamaha was a 175 Enduro back in 1973...lol...
