Here is my review of the HeliBars for the Super Tenere. ;)

Check out the animation at the bottom of the review to see the difference before and after.

Awesome Thanks for the review. Since I was clearly not the rider Yamaha had in mind when they built the Super Tenere, I've constantly fought with getting the right ergonomics. So far the Protaper Adventure High bars without rox risers have been better, but not perfect so I'm interested in giving this system a try with the protaper bars.

A boxer I am not with my stubby t-rex arms.

Your posts on here prompted me to contact Helibars.

I would agree, has made my ride much more comfortable.

Thanks for the review. I ordered a set earlier today to get my S10 reconfigured to my proportions and more comfortable. Farkling is a long road best traveled with a pile of cash.

I have a pair of Helibar Horizon ST's on my C10 and have been more than pleased with the fit, finish, and performance of the product. A bit pricey, but that single farkle transformed the bike.

I sent them a message too, just asking if they could sell me the 2014+ Riser without the brake lines since I've already put extensions on.

Did a 1000+ to Louisiana and back last weekend and the Helibar risers made a huge difference in comfort. I did cut the bars down 1" on each side and that allowed me to use stock lines with some rearranging of the routing.

Now to sort out the wind management scenario. Getting left side and shoulder buffeting from the mirrors, which I believe to be an unintended consequence of shorting the bars and the mirrors moving IN an inch. ugghhh...

I use the cheap Chinese mirror extenders from ebay and I like them a lot. Get the yamaha specific ones, of course, but I haven't had any issues except the bolts being rusty in the center of the head. not the threads, though. I've had them on for almost 20,000 miles on two bikes.

Defekticon,

I'm really interested in your review of the atv bars and the heiibar riser. Might help me pull the plug and buy the goods. I'm especially interested to know if you had to change out out the hydralic and throttle lines.

Hopefully with the new president taking office there will be laws to require ape hanger bars as oem required by law. Then all you guys will be comfortable. For me the forward lean is part of riding a motorcycle, and an important part of comfort is not sitting straight upright with all your weight sitting on your rear. Of course no one cares to even try riding the correct way for any length of time to see if it actually works.

Not necessarily true, everyone has difference of opinion when it comes to riding and their comfort. I've done two 6hr days, with only getting off the bike for 45min at the very most. Granted I'm sure lots of people have been in the seat way longer. I've also ridden a bunch of smaller 3hr days, and to me the bars just need a little tweaking. Some people might actually feel better sitting up straight.
