Just my 2 cents.

Every Scout is a K60, but not every K60 is a Scout. I have a hard time believing the CC will wear well, compared to a K60 Scout. Regular K60s have no center rib. K60 Scouts in our size have a M&S rating already, (it's on the sidewall). Soft compound winter tires traditionally do offer better cold traction, but also usually wear much faster in warmer temps than an all season tire. Time will tell how the CC does for riders that are not using as an exclusive cold weather tire.

I would NOT run this for the Haul road with it's aggressive rock and generally warmer temps, unless you were cutting the edge of the season or swapping them on in Fairbanks for the run up to Prudhoe and back, then swapping back to your other tires. If I lived in Northern climates where I rode in cold temps for a significant period of time, I'd certainly give these a shot.

FWIW, Heidenau has already had a snow tire in the line, just not in most sizes and not in the S10 size.

I’m hoping that the scout II’s don’t have the center stripe....
No problem, don't buy a Scout, just get a regular K60 in the 140 width. No center rib on those.
